The Turkish Dental Association (TDB) is the national professional chamber for dentists in Türkiye. TDB membership is mandatory for practising dentists. What It Covers

TDB registration confirms that the dentist holds a recognised qualification, has passed the licensing examination, and is legally authorised to practise. The TDB also publishes practice guidelines and maintains records of dental clinic operations.

Limitations

TDB registration is individual, not institutional. Clinic-level licensing in Türkiye sits with the Ministry of Health; clinics marketing internationally must additionally hold a USHAS Health Tourism Authorisation. Patients should verify all three layers (individual dentist TDB registration, clinic Ministry of Health licence, and USHAS authorisation for international patients).

Renewal and Validity

TDB registration is renewed annually and is contingent on continuing professional development and absence of disciplinary action.
