Singapore, officially the Republic of Singapore, is an island country in Southeast Asia. It is the world's largest and most populous city-state, with a territory consisting of a main island, over 60 satellite islands and islets, and one outlying islet. Healthcare in Singapore is under the purview of the Ministry of Health of the Government of Singapore. It mainly consists of a government-run publicly funded universal healthcare system as well as a significant private healthcare sector. Financing of healthcare costs is done through a mixture of direct government subsidies, compulsory comprehensive savings, national healthcare insurance, and cost-sharing.

US citizens can enter Singapore without a visa for stays of 90 days or less; passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of departure, with one blank page per stamp. All arrivals, including children, must submit the free Singapore Arrival Card with Electronic Health Declaration no more than three days before entry, via the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority website. Travellers should carry their passport at all times, as they may be taken in for questioning without it. Singapore imposes severe consequences for drug-related crimes: evidence of drug use in a traveller's system on arrival or in transit will lead to refusal of entry or arrest. It is also illegal to possess, purchase or use vapes and e-cigarettes. The stated maximum for currency on entry and exit is 20,000 Singapore Dollars (approximately US$15,500). Emergency numbers are 999 for police and 995 for ambulance and fire, and medical care is available in English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil.
